How to reach the support team
For service help, product guidance or a breakdown callout, use the enquiry form on our contact page and include the site, machine type and the issue you are seeing. That helps us route the request quickly to the right person in Germiston, whether you are in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Polokwane, Boksburg or Midrand.
Our support team handles requests for new installations, line changes, safety checks and spare parts. If you are running on a tight shift plan, note the best time for site access and the name of the person on duty so we can plan the visit properly.
- Technical help with cutters and dispensers
- Service bookings and preventive servicing
- Advice on the right unit for your packing line
- Spare blade and parts supply
What to include in your enquiry
The more detail you give, the faster we can assess the job. Please mention the film type, the packing line speed, the size of the roll, and whether the unit is used for shrink film or stretch film. If the problem only happens at certain times, include that too, especially during load-shedding changeovers or after long production runs.
- Site name and suburb or town
- Equipment type and any model markings
- Fault description with photos if possible
- When the issue started
- Whether the line is still running or stopped
For coastal sites in Durban or Cape Town, it also helps to tell us if corrosion, moisture or dust is affecting the unit. Small details like that can save a second visit.
Support for sites with busy production lines
Many of our customers work around fixed dispatch times, municipal operating windows and production targets that cannot slip. We support packing lines in Germiston, Johannesburg and the wider Ekurhuleni area, as well as national sites that need scheduled service without disrupting output.
When we book a site visit, we aim to keep it practical. That usually means checking the dispenser mount, blade condition, film feed path and operator handling before the line goes back into service. If the issue is minor, we will often talk your team through the fix first so you can keep moving.
- Onsite installation and line setup
- Roll change support during peak shifts
- Breakdown callouts for urgent faults
- Equipment upgrades for older packing lines
Service checks that keep problems from coming back
Preventive servicing is often the difference between a smooth shift and an avoidable stoppage. Our technical team checks for worn blades, loose fittings, drag issues and dispenser damage before the fault becomes a bigger one. That is especially useful where operators change rolls often or the line runs long hours.
We also carry out safety checks and can advise where guarding, handling steps or operator habits need attention. In many cases, a short visit and a few simple changes can improve film control and reduce waste. It is practical work, not fancy, and it keeps the line moving.
Training for operators and shift teams
If your team is new to a cutter or dispenser, or if there has been staff turnover, we can arrange operator training on site. The focus is on safe use, correct film application and the right way to change rolls without damaging the unit or slowing the line.
Training is useful for warehouses, manufacturers and packhouses that need consistency across shifts. We can also coach supervisors on what to look for during daily checks, so small faults are picked up early instead of becoming a breakdown later.
- Safe handling and basic operation
- Correct roll loading and alignment
- Blade care and replacement timing
- Simple checks for wear, drag and damage
Meet the Film Cutters support team

The Germiston base gives us a strong working point for service across Gauteng and beyond, and we know the pace that South African packing lines work at.
Whether you need a spares supply, a dispenser repair, or a new site assessment, the team works together to keep the process straightforward. Send the request through the enquiry form and we will take it from there.
